Rohu with Poi Shak instructions
- Soak mustard seeds in little water for 15-20 minutes, add garlic cloves and make fine paste..
- In a pan heat up oil add fennel seeds and ground masala.
- Fry till it changes colour slightly.
- Add coriander, chilli and turmeric powder.
- Add chopped onion.
- Fry till onion get soft, add chopped tomatoes and salt..
- Fry till tomatoes get mushy.
- Add poi bhaji by shredding them slightly, do not chop fine..
- Fry for few minutes. Add 1/2 cup water and dry mango powder.
- Add fish pieces, gently fold them in masala in the pan.
- Simmer till masala thickens and fish is cooked..
- Serve with chapati or steamed rice..
