Margi special is a local food popular with the Margi natives of Maiduguri, Borno. It is either cooked with white zobo or the yakuwa and spinach(alayyahu). This is one of our special soup in Adamawa we call it marghi special and yes the soup is special try it and thank me later. You can have Marghi special using 7 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you achieve it.
Ingredients of Marghi special
- Prepare of marinaded Catfish.
- It's of Yakuwa, spinach.
- You need of Tomato, onions, garlic.
- You need of Scotch bonnet, tattashe.
- You need of Maggi, salt.
- You need of Toka, kanwa.
- Prepare of Oil.
Note, don't add too much water if not you will end up having water in the soup, when cooking this soup don't use anything to turn it if not you will end up piecesing your fish. Marghi Special is a special delicacy prepared by Marghi people of Borno state during festivals, weddings, hosting of visitors and ceremonies. Fish is a general favorite of the indigenes of that part of this diverse country and Marghi special is a very tasty, attractive and most importantly healthy method of preparing fish soup.
