You need of Meat.
It's 500 grams of beef or venison.
It's of Vegetables.
It's 1 kg of potatoes.
Prepare 500 grams of onions.
You need 125 grams of butter.
It's 1 cup of vinegar.
You need of worcestershiresauce.
Prepare of breadcrumbs.
It's of applesauce.
You need of Spices.
It's 2 of bayleaves.
You need 4 of whole cloves.
It's 5 of squashed juniper berries.
You need 1 pinch of salt.
You need 5 of crushed peppercorns.

Chop onion and carrots and slice garlic. Heat oil in a heavy skillet. Brown meat and spoon out into pie dish. Place in hot oven for a few minutes to set; then fill casserole with stew and cover with layer of mashed potatoes and brown in hot oven.

Cook the meat: first brown on both sides, then add some water and the cup of vinegar together with the spices..
