- Wash and soak the broken wheat and moong dal in enough water for at 30-minutes. Drain and keep aside.Heat ghee in a pan add cumin seeds, cloves, red mirch, cinnamon powder and hing,add garlic, saute 30 seconds. add onions, saute 2-minutes, add chopped carrots, add chopped dhudhi, add chopped cabbage, add chopped capsicum saute for 3-4 minutes..
- Add haldi powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, salt mix well. add broke wheat, and moong dal mix well. Add 3-cups water. Mix well, transfer to pressure cooker and cook for 4-5 whistles..
- Stir the khichdi, transfer the khichdi in a pan, garnish with Coriander and serve hot with buttermilk, and papad..
